Chaplin was born in Walworth, England. He was born to Charles Spencer Chaplin Sr. and Hannah Chaplin on 16th April 1889 at night 8 pm. Both his Parents were Artists of the Music Hall. Both his Parents were separated before he was 3 years old.
As his Drunkard Father left his Mother and him alone, he became a Child, who was growing under the care of his Mother. His Mother was working as a Singer in a Liquor Bar. Even that life did not last too long for his Mother. His Mother suffered from some throat problems and she could not continue singing. During that time, a surprising thing happened. Chaplin got on to the stage and started performing a unique dance. Even the Drunkards in Bar enjoyed his dancing and they whistled to his Dancing. Chaplin’s age was just 6 at this stage.
In a particular stage, he was left alone by his Mom and Dad. During that time, he lived his Brother Sydney.
In the year 1903, Chaplin got the chance to perform the role of a Billy. Then, he slowly entered into the Cinema. A Producer named Mack Sennett identified his talent and roped him in his own Production House, which was named as Keystone Film Company.
In the year 1917, he became the first Actor in Hollywood to earn a Salary of 1 Million Dollar. Chaplin was 28 when he got married with Mildred Harris who was aged 16. When Chaplin was 34, he again got married with Lita Grey who was aged just 15. When Chaplin was 46, he got married with 16 years aged Paulette Gotarte and got divorced from her later. Finally, he met with Oona O’Neill. Chaplin was 54 when he married Oona O’Neill, who was 17 then. Their Marriage happened on June 16th 1943. This Marriage lasted for many long years. 8 Children were born to this Couple.
Chaplin got Oscars in for the films “The Circus” and “The Jazz Singer” in the year 1922. In the year 1972, he was honored with the Oscars Award for Lifetime Achievement. He could not walk comfortably too, while receiving this Award. Because, his age was 82, when he got this Award. He died during the Christmas, i.e., on the 25th December 1977.
